I have an HP G60 laptop. The screen cracked so i replaced the LCD screen. It worked but then went dim suddenly. After research, I decided to replace the inverter. Now the screen comes on normally but the goes very dim after a few seconds. I can see the screen with a flashlight but that's it. Any suggestions?:cry

Try hooking an external monitor to the VGA port. If it doesn't initially display, check the blue "function" key options for enabling an external monitor.

If you get a normal image on the external monitor, the issue may be the new inverter is bad and/or a defective internal cable. If the external monitor has the same issue, it is likely a problem with the on-board video.
