New Lexus Ad

Lexus Magazine (who I do some work with) just posted a link to a new ad for the Lexus LFA in which the cars exhaust completely shatters a champagne glass via the sound. It's a pretty cool ad and the car looks great, though I need to see it on the track before I really have an idea of what it's like. Have you guys seen the LFA yet? What do you think of the ad - is that even possible?

Great car just too expensive for what it is, Lambourghini or Ferarri money for a Japanese car, sorry I'm and Italian supercar snob!

Yes on the LFA... and in person, impressed at its technology and speed, not that I drove it, but I'm not enamoured at the above paragraph of mine in respect to price.

Yes possible as the tone of the engine can be changed very easily as they can do this for F1 cars.

Yeah it is possible you need the right frequency and you need the right amplitude or volume,interestingly if you notice they haven't put champagne glass next to the exhaust they have put a microphone next to the exhaust then amplified the signal high enough to break the glass using a powerful speaker,omitting most probably a huge amplification system from the ad.

Mythbusters proved it was possible to break a glass using the right amp,pretty much anyone can break the glass be that singer,regular man,tuning fork or machine.

I think the Lexus looks like bit of an Audi R8 rip off,I love the look of Audi R8 and I love its technical specification the only problem is it seems that everyone has one,if this lexus is near R8 money I'd go for the R8 even though I'd feel like a conformist.

Saying that even the new BMW's and nissan GTR have taken on this kind of bulky styling so maybe its just the future of car styling,big bulky bodywork,I haven't decided if if I like it or not yet.

I haven't seen that Mythbusters episode but will have to check it out. Looking at the pics of the Audi R8, I can definitely see some similarities between the two cars and I think both look pretty sweet.
