    Good Day
I am considering buying a new machine to replace my 2.8 Dell 5150. I game occasionally with strategy or FPS games and am usually 3/5 years behind with
in buying. My latest was Bfield 4 and COH2. so that gives you an idea Im not a hard core gamer.
However if I buy any in the future they will require more oomph than my present card delivers as its only able for BF4 at lower settings.
So I have tried to put together ,with my limited knowledge, a lower power and cost machine which will give me these features. This is what I selected and I would appreciate comment if the setup does not mesh ie there are bottlenecks
or a lower graphics card would do or my psu is too small. I do not believe it is but when I got the quote of £350/$550 the sales man has tried to sell me another 450 watt psu for £31. I believe this is a bit of salemanship as I went back and on customising a pc found it at £15 with the company. As I have 2 T
HDDs which I will fit they are excluded. So this is what I selected.
    AMD A8-6600K Quad Core 3.9GHz FM2 4MB Cache 100W TDP CPU
    HyperX Savage 8GB (2 x 4GB) Memory Kit 2400MHz DDR3 CL11 DIMM
ASUS A88XM-E AMD Socket FM2+ Motherboard
    Choice 22x DVD+/-RW Drive
CiT 1021 Black Midi Tower Case - 450W Power Supply
3 Year Collect & Return warranty
    Mains Power Cable
MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Boost Graphics Card

    Look forward to your comments.

CiT PSU - just no! The PSU is the cornerstone of a PC, spend some money on a quality PSU from a top quality brand - or you're likely to spend more in the long term. Seasonic/XFX are easy to find.

Something close to this should make a good baseline for you, pick your own case: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/hGHMxr

    Hello Satrow

Thank you for that reply. could you tell me why there is a difference between 2 same wattage,in this case 450 watt ,which would appear to meet my requirement, psus

Just for the record, I have bought many cases that came with PSUs only to immediately toss out the included PSU - because I wanted the case. It is not uncommon for retailers and some case makers to toss in PSUs just to make the case sell.

Some case makers, including my favorite case maker, Antec, frequently add PSUs, but they are often low powered and/or their entry level models - perhaps adequate for a simple office computer, but as Satrow noted, the PSU forms the cornerstone of a good PC so buying a quality PSU will pay off in the long run. Not just with potentially a more stable computer, but a quality PSU will be more efficient, saving you money substantially in energy costs over the lifetime of the computer.
