New mobo / gpu questions.

I've been looking at this combo ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.309260 ) as i'm want to get a motherbord the replace the dinosaur i have now, but i have no idea how to go about doing it. I mean, i understand the fundamentals of it, i know i could put the actuall computer together, but after that i would have no idea what would happen or what to do. i was reading the other thread about how the guy might have to repurchase windows... just like him, i dont want to do that either. Anyway, if anyone could fill me in on what to expect if i was to go through with the purchase, i'd love the information
