New MOBO installed but strange stuff

I installed a new MOBO, BIOSTAR GEFORCE6100 for an AMD 64 3500.

I keep getting occassionaly a Machine_Check_Exception. I have checked everything and hardware seems fine. Now I have to have windows product re-activated. I have no Idea how that happened twice.

The other weird thing is that when I turn the computer off, the enxt day when I try to boot it up, NOTHING. i HAVE TO LITERALLY PULL THE POWER PLUG FROM the PSU and put it back in to turn on the computer.

The third strange thing is that when I start the computer up, It stays in the Bios. I cannot go straight to windows startup. I have to hit F1 everytime to get past this. I have tried disabling everything in the bios but nothing has worked.

Is this because of a floppy failure? I do need to get a new floppy. Since the floppy failed it will continue to stop with press F8,F1 or Delete to setup?

Any thoughts on what is going on here? Thanks everyone.
