hi i just bought a mother board and case and i am plugging it in (Reset Switch, HDD LED, Powerswitch) and i was wondering what the ground is.. it says: like HDD switch left,HDD switch ground left.

how do i know what side is ground?

each plug has 1 colour (red,yellow..) and a white, so is the ground white for each one?

Yeah, the ground would usually white. But, you don't have to worry about it too much. Most of those cords have only two wires and it doesn't actually make any diffrence if you invert them, since the two wires are identical. Plus current doesn't actually run to the power button like in the old days.

I usually just plug it in so the text on the wires can always be seen. Just to make it easier to troubleshoot in the future.

Also, even if you get it wrong, all that happens is the LED or switches don't work and then you just go in and flip em around (You can even flip them with the computer running, although I doubt it's recommended :)). It won't break anything.
