Having purchased/set up 60 or so monitors this year (IT, friends and at home), here are my picks:

    • Samsung
    • Hanns-G

Not sure of the current exchange rates, but a 19" widescreen Samsung can be purchased online here in The States for around $200 after rebate; the 19" widescreen Hanns-G has been as low as $120 after rebate at Office Depot. All have DVI input and 3-year warranty.

I'd avoid HP. Image quality is margainal at best and tech support/swapout for warranty issues is a nightmare.

I was in Costco today and looked on the back of one nice priced screen. There it was near all the spider web of wire spagetti. A DB Video imput! I told my wife this would be perfect for her system!!

It was a 62 inch HDTV!

    :)
