    Current setup
    Core 2 Duo 6400(2.13ghz)
    DFI Infinity 975x/g
XFX Geforce 7900 GT's in SLI
    2gb Corsair ram (6400)
    Sound Blaster Audigy 4

Alright, well last night hooked up an old harddrive that was going bad a year ago to try to get some things off of it. It didn't work, as I guess the year of sitting finished it off. Upon taking it back out and rebooting my computer wouldn't even post. So I reset the CMOS and got it to post but it stuck at "Verifying DMI Data Pool". I rechecked everything(connections.. bios setup..ect) and restarted same thing. .. anyway after searching here and other support forums I visit I came to the conclusion some piece of hardware had went bad so I pulled everything. It boots fine with one stick of ram but when I put the second one back in it either won't post or stops at the DMI data pool. It doesn't matter which stick is in so I don't think the ram is bad. It's like the memory controler fried itself while I was screwing with the drive.

Anyway.. Unless someone has another opinion I'm ordering a new mb tomorrow.

    So my questions..

I've been running SLI on this system with hacked drivers. I want native support for SLI on the next one. (so.. 650i or 680i boards only)
Does anyone have a better suggestion price or feature wise than the ASUS P5N32-E?

I'm one of the guys that is crying about performance in Crysis. (Although I haven't had SLI running in it yet) I solved alot of my performance issues taking my two sticks of ram out of dual channel mode and just running 2 gb of ram. Does dual channel make much of a difference (is it worth it to go to buy 2x2gb)? Can I still put my 2 1gb sticks in the other two slots and run 4 sticks in dual channel?

I'm also thinking of ordering a E6750 to help with speeding things up, but I'm not sure how much of a difference 500 mhz makes at this point or if I should just save my money until either late this year or next year for a new system.

I'm trying to get out of this a cheap as possible, but at the same time.. I want to make an improvement. Does anyone have any other suggestions for me?

    Thanks.

And now another problem as arisen. If I right click on a video file the screen resets like I've changed resolutions. It doesn't change anything... It just goes black and then back. It doesn't do it when I play a video.. just when I right click on one. (or select then hit the delete key..)I haven't changed anything at all software wise. I've only got one stick of ram in because of the above and I've only got one video card in.

I've found it also does it when I go to my Nvidia menu after right clicking on the desktop. I don't remember what used to be there, but now it's showing "analog display" and I don't think thats right.

Any ideas? This is going to drive me nuts before I get the other fixed.
