New Motherboard and Processor help

I have upgraded just about ever part of my computer, and the mobo/cpu are the next step.
I went to frys and bought a combo of these two:

I also bought a new case to fit everything in.
First, I took everything out of my old case.
Then I followed the instructions and put everything in the new case, including the motherboard, cpu and stuff.
One problem is that the graphics card (AGP Express) slot interferes with the ide cable plugs.
Basically, I hooked everything up except for my cd drives, and turned on the computer. The computer turns on, and the graphics card turns on. The computer screen however, does nothing.
I took out my Radeon X800 and plugged in my old geforce mx400 from 2002, and the monitor works. I am extremely disappointed. Does this mean that I can't use my new graphics card in the computer? I have spent about 6 hours hooking everything up, and that would really piss me off. Any solutions?

 

Your video card maybe defective.

 

Well, my video card was working in my old computer. And it starts up and everything. It has a bunch of LEDs that light up, so I know that its turning on.

 

I just plugged it into my old setup, and the screen worked. I am sure that the card is not burned out.

 

Check ECS web see if your Video card is on the supported list.

At Newegg 31 reviews, 15 of them gave Poor or very poor ratings, Yikes!
ECS has big history of making crap product.
