New Motherboard Suggestions

Here’s the deal. I have an ABIT IC7-G motherboard and the fan on my Northbridge chip had gone out and I’m afraid it has burned up. When I start my computer the first screen that shows up has Phoenix at the top and a little farther down shows Pentium 4 and Memory test. That’s it. It doesn’t continue to show IED of anything else. If I need to replace my MOBO, should I buy a MOBO that works with my Intel socket 478 cpu and reuse the cpu? Or should I by a combination MOBO and chip from Frys? I’m not looking for any state of the art MOBO since I don’t play games or over clock. I’m just looking for a good all purpose MOBO that has RAID,SATA, and is going to last for a few years
