new mp3 for xmas,can't load songs!!

Hi all, hope someone can help me out, my son got a new RCA Lyra RD1072 for xmas and we are having trouble figuring it out,rca support sucks,no help what so ever .First of all,being a GUY, I didn't read the instructions before downloading the software,surprise! Any who,after that attempt failed I opened the manual, the first sentence says "do not connect your mp3 to your computer before you have installed the required drivers (Win 98se/me)". I don't know if this is why I am having difficulties?? If so, how do I fix? I am running win98me, I have tried musicmatch with no luck,even after updating to musicmatch 9.0
On musicmatch I have clicked to add plug in but still doesn't work! please, somebody help me before I smash this thing with a hammer!!!! just joking but is very frustrating.

 

Thanks for the reply Halo, I have Windows media player 9.0 as 10 is for XP ...I think.I will give that thread a read ,will let you know if it works.
In Window media player should I download a plug in?? I go to this option but really don't know if I should or not??
