new MSN Messenger 7.0

    I assume I can simply 'overwrite' my current MSN Messenger 6.2 with the 7.0 version. Right or wrong. I'm running WinXP with SP2. Thanks.

    I'm nearly 100% positive that you can just overwrite it.

    I don't use MSNM anymore, but I don't remember ever having to uninstall any of the old versions of it when I used to use it.

    I use Trillian now, which lets you connect to all of the major chat networks (AIM, ICQ, IRC, MSN, and Yahoo).

    They offer a free version and a paid version. I use the free one.

    That or Gaim. Either one's good and you get more use out of either program than you would with just MSN alone.

    I'm sure you can overwrite it.
