did you do the following in the link provided earlier by tblue?

Scanning And Cleaning Steps: (These 4 steps are NOT optional and must be run!!)
If you skip any of these 4 steps, no HJT log or other help will be provided until you run them. DO NOT SKIP THEM!

if you have done everything, go to the HIJACKTHIS thread...doesn't sound like you did quite everything yet

If you have run all the steps in the READ ME FIRST sticky then follow the steps below exactly:

    - Download HijackThis 1.99.1

    - Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

    - Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

    - Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

    - Run HijackThis and save your log file.

    - Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

I have completed the four steps recommended but i couldn't do the symantec scan because it wouldn't load. The trend micro scan found 2 trace of a WORM SDBOT.BJV. Both are in the same place and couldnt be deleted by the trend micro scan. Should i use the kill box thing to try and delete them? Should i still post my HJT File?
    thanks for any help.

    My previous message said:

You did not follow the directions I gave you. Notice where you have HijackThis:

    C:\DOCUME~1\RUSSEL~1.S-W\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for HJT.zip\HijackThis.exe

This means you are running it directly from the ZIP file. You will not get backups this way. Please follow directions.

You log indicates signs of AntiVir and AVG7 antivirus programs. You MUST only use one antivirus application. Uninstall one. Since AntiVir does not seem to be completely installed correctly, I would uninstall it.

After doing what I said in my previous message, follow the steps below.

If you are using WinXP or WinMe, make sure you have system restore disabled (per the tutorial).
For all OS types, make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://hsremove.com/done.htm
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Connection Wizard,ShellNext = http://hsremove.com/done.htm
    O2 - BHO: Shorty - {11A4CA8C-A8B9-49c2-A6D3-3F64C9EEBAE6} - C:\Program Files\DNS\Catcher.dll
    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {BDAD1DAD-C946-4A17-ADC1-64B5B4FF55D0} - (no file)
    O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01\bin\npjpi142_01.dll (file missing)
    O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_01\bin\npjpi142_01.dll (file missing)
    O16 - DPF: {20048BB3-DB68-11CF-9CAF-00AA006CB425} (007installer Control) - http://download.007guard.com/msnnames/msnnames.cab
    O16 - DPF: {D19781C5-2051-44F8-8445-DDC82933C191} (VacPro.internazionale_ver11) - http://advnt01.com/dialer/internazionale_ver11.CAB

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete:
    C:\Program Files\DNS <--- the whole folder

If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST). Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log. And tell us how things are working.

No you have not! You still have both AVs installed.
    C:\PROGRA~1\Grisoft\AVGFRE~1\avgupsvc.exe
    C:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVWUPSRV.EXE

Other than that, your log is clean.

The service is still trying to load.

Click on Start, then Run ... type services.msc into the box that opens up, and press 'OK'.
On the page that opens, scroll down to AntiVir Update or AVWUpSrv Then right click the entry, select 'Properties' and press 'Stop Service'. When it shows that it is stopped, next please set the 'Start-up Type' to 'Disabled'. Press 'OK' until you get back to Windows.

Next, open up HJT, but instead of scanning, click on the "None of the above, just start the program" button at the bottom of the choices. At the lower right, click on the 'Config" button, and then the Misc tools' button ... select 'Delete an NT Service" ... copy/paste the following into the box that opens, and press "OK":

    AntiVir Update

Or if that does not work use the short name: AVWUpSrv

Now reboot and look to see that the below items no longer show in your log:

    C:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVWUPSRV.EXE

    O23 - Service: AntiVir Update (AVWUpSrv) - H+BEDV Datentechnik GmbH, Germany - C:\Program Files\AVPersonal\AVWUPSRV.EXE

Then delete the C:\Program Files\AVPersonal folder.

You're welcome. Now it is time to follow the steps in the below thread to help keep you clean. Note: after getting one of the firewalls installed, you need to disable the one in Win XP SP2. It is not good enough to use and you must only have one software firewall.

How to Protect yourself from malware!

Iv done most of the steps in your previous post and got the Sygate Personal Firewall but it keeps blocking something called NT Kernel & System. Is this something dangerous? Iv included my new HJT File.
    Thanks For Any Help

It's a system file. Some people seem to have problems with it constantly popping up even if you tell it to always deny access. See the messages in the below link. Perhaps they will be of use:
