Sorry if this has been covered but I just bought an Asus A8n serries notebook running vista. Naturally the first thing I did was boot up with my xp pro sp2 disc and install that. I then grabbed the drivers disc that came with the machine thinking I'd be sorted. Of course there's only vista drivers and there's no xp ones to be found at the asus website.

Is there any chance of running xp on this machine? I gave vista a shot but I'm having a real hard time getting my music software up & running.

    Thanks.

It depends on if your hardware has ever had XP drivers written for it. If there are, they should install. Sometimes it takes some work to find them. If you download Everest and then attach a report from it, in your next post, someone should be able to help you out.

Also attach a screenshot of your device manager showing what drivers need installing.
And last. what type of music software are you using? Maybe there is something Vista ready that will work just as well.
