Hey everyone. So I just put together a new build and everything is working okay for the most part. I used an MSI H170A gaming pro motherboard. I installed all the drivers on the disc that came with it and then went and updated over the internet through device manager. However, when I tried to do that, I got a message that said that windows found the driver but there was an error when trying to install for Realtek High Definition Audio. I pulled up additional details and it gave me these:

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_DrvInst.exe_e26ed3393864e59b969d8df9f21ec6887f830_cab_0bd8e83c\WERE7DE.tmp.appcompat.txt
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_DrvInst.exe_e26ed3393864e59b969d8df9f21ec6887f830_cab_0bd8e83c\WERE7EF.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_DrvInst.exe_e26ed3393864e59b969d8df9f21ec6887f830_cab_0bd8e83c\WERE7F0.tmp.hdmp

I went ahead and attached those files in the zip in case they may be of help. When I go into the sound settings, all I see under the playback tab is the NVIDEA HDMI output port 0 through 4. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

I was able to fix the problem. Since it was a fresh install of windows, there are updates that weren't on here. After updating, the driver installer started working properly. I was able to install realtek, but then only the motherboard sound port worked and not the one on the front of my case. I also didn't see realtek manager. It turns out, the cable for the audio had 2 connectors, a AC 97 and an HD Audio. My old motherboard used the AC 97 plug so i used that again on this newer one not knowing any better. After switching the connector to he HD audio, my pc recognized it after booting up and I was able to access realtek and use the front audio jack.
