    Actually, it looks pretty good. However, you may want to consider a different motherboard. Foxconn is not known for their dependability, or durability. I built a machine for my friend and used a Foxconn FX-4MR (Intel) and after replacing the board twice in 3 months, I convinced my friend to go with a Gigabyte board and not one problem since. Here's a list of AM3 boards on Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=2000200022 1070946178&name=AM3 Any of those boards should do you quite well. Of course, the final decision is yours, but after my experience, I would not recommend Foxconn.

    Well Paradoxdream, looks like very good choices to me;) Is this your first build? I think you'll be happier with the ASUS board as opposed to the Foxconn. Good luck with the build and keep us posted on how it's going, okay? If you have anymore questions, well we're open 24\7 so you can post back!!;)

    What will you be using the PC for?

    I think you have excelent taste :-D

    I would choose the same Antec 900, I have a Sapphire 4870 (1GB). I would however not go for the tri core Phenom II, Quad is the only way to go with Phenom's & Phenom II's.

    Aside from that I think your onto a winner :clap

    @Stubby
    thx
    This is not my fist build i couldn't even count how many i have built but its been a while since i have done it (just as PCIe came out) and needed some good info. I went the hole laptop Xbox360 route for a while cuz i got tired of the cost of upgrades but i just cant fight the fact that i am a PC gamer at heart and i love tweaking and building systems i guess some itches you just have to scratch LOL

    @2-Bit-Geek
    i will be using it for some gaming light video editing encryption decryption of dvd/avi media center and all other normal activities also will be using things like shock4way3D object docks and other 3D desktop environment software

    i went with the x3BE cuz on the reviews i was reading that their was only a handful of programs that that could use the 4th core and around 95% only use the three and in the futere if i over clock it (not an over clocker so bear with me) that its difficult to push the forth core also in real world usage its on par with some of the I7 processors and also because of funds :(

    but all the reasons i listed were off of things i read and i would like to get some feed back from some one with experience with the new am3 line

    roflmaoroflmao So, 'you got an itch you just gotta scratch, huh?' I know that feeling:-D I'd love to help you with the AM3 line but, like you, all I know about them is from what I read. Hopefully, someone with experience with the AM3 can give you more guidance in that department. I guess I should have realized that this was not your first build. Most first time builders, not all, usually pick out good parts, but where they make their mistakes is with the PSU. They usually pick a cheap, off-brand with questionable quality and end up paying for that mistake down the line. Again, not all new builders make that mistake, but a lot do.....me for one!! My first machine was a disaster thanks to a PoS PSU!! You, on the other hand, well OCZ is NOT a PoS!!:-D

    I did hear something along the lines of that, the 4th core I mean. Ifind my Phenom a massive let down to be honest. On the other hand I heard the Phenom II's are far better, but I would still suggest a quad as they are "the latest thing" so more & more programs will become more suited to them.

    I remember getting my first dual core it was an AMD Athlon 4400+ 2.4Ghz LOL, but not many games could use the 2nd core. It was only a year before I saw more & more games using the 2nd core thus my gaming performance doubled :)

    Again with my Phenom 9750 2.4GHz (I see a pattern) I see crappy performance, but i'm sure it will pick up by the time I invest in a Phenom II 940 3.0GHz. I have a habbit of getting the 2.4GHz ver then the 3.0GHz ver of AMD's LOL

    I think the point I am getting at is new technology is going to be way ahead of current software requirements because some people might have that hardware for 5 or more years. I understand the gaming market moves alot faster than most other software if you want a high frame rate @ a high resolution, so getting a quad core should prepare you for future happyness LOL

    Of course in hind sight I may have made the jump to dual cores a little early LOL, but it did eventually pay off :-D

    Runs real smooth and with good frames (so far) right now playing Oblivion with everything maxed and with with bloom and 4xAA resolution 1440 *900 and system doesn't even break a sweat will be picking up FEAR 2 in next couple of weeks to see how it runs
    3d mark 06(free ver) was just under 14k and vantage(performance) was just under 9k with no tweaking at all done so i think i can get better scores one i fully set the system up
