new phone

    I recently purchased a unlocked tmobil htc mytouch
    i have 2 questions
    1. what sim card do i need to use public wifi (ie mcdonalds, the library etc....)
    and i do not want a phone provider (ie contract with tmobile)
    2 .... well ok maybe 1 question after all

    You use a SIM card to tell the phone that it is activated for the carrier, not for wifi. Anything else you neede.

    i apologize but i do not understand.
    are you saying that i have to get a sim card from the tmobil store
    to use the public hotspots that have free wifi?
    what about using at as an mp3 player, how can i find out the storage capacity and such?
    lemme guess ... the tmobil store?
