New popup

This has appeared on my laptop's Win 7 64 bit Pro this afternoon. It pops up if you move the mouse into the top right corner, just like Win 8 charms bar. Today I have added both Secunia PSI and SUMo Lite and my suspicions are very much tilted to the latter, though it's also possible it's a Lenovo addon, as there has been an update of their software today.

Anyone recognise it?

 

I don't recognise it, but it's not SUMo Lite or Secunia PSI. I have SUMo Lite, had just opened it, and no such popup appears. I don't use Secunia PSI, but the nature of the program tells me it's also not to blame. I'm going with the the Lenovo update/addon.

IMNSHO, PC manufacturers should limit there software to drivers. Leave the rest to the user.

 

I tend to agree. The laptop dual boots with Win 8.1 Pro, which I added soon after purchase, and the same two programs were installed to that today. No popups there.

I s'pose it's possible it's always been on the pre-installed Win 7 and it's just that I've never noticed it before as I use Win 8.1 95% of the time.
