I bought myself a new printer today as the old one had seen better times and i was really surprised what you get for your money.

4 years ago i paid the same amount for my old beast as i did for the new one and all the old one did was just print!

the new one is an all in one

with all the bells and whistles, the only bad thing i can say is the ink cartridges are a bit expensive but i knew that before i bought it and traded off the cost against what i got in the printer.

i am like a kid with a new toy at the moment printing and scanning making photos but the main thing is it does what i want at reasonable cost.

Seems like they give you the printer and make the money back on the ink. ed

    Nice printer, Bill.

I've got an HP photosmart printer - can't remember the model right now. It's a couple of years old. It doesn't have a scanner function, but it has the pop-up display and a built in memory card reader.

We have been very happy with it. It has 6 printer cartridges (I think 6) instead of the two or three. Each one runs about 10 bucks, which isn't bad, since some things you print use more of one color than another. My wife uses it for all our photo stuff anymore.
