The article didn't mention what version of IE, but rather it seems to affect OS software. XP and server 2003 using IE were the only ones they listed as having the security breach.

I think that if you keep your UIE updated with all the HIGH priority updates, it shouldn't be an issue... The malicious software removal tool comes out each month, and is updated as is any Important update that is there, make sure you are all updated, either by manually updating or turning on AU, and you should be fine.... At least one would think so anyway....:confused

Hi DomLuc, thanks for the info... I just wondered why it hasn't shown up in my update list. Hadn't heard anything about it until here.... I'll have to check into this a little further, and see if it applies to me too....;)

    OK, I'm on it, I don't have Vista. ;)

That twas amazingly simple, compared to some of their fixes... Almost wondered if I had done it wrong, but all went well... I have XP Pro, but I didn't see anything in the updates about it... Hmmm.. Oh well, all is done now, so I guess we just wait for their permanent fix. I sure don't see why someone would want to compromise our computers, but they sure do, don't they? What one doesn't think of, another will... Truly mind boggling...;)

I have IE8 waiting on my toolbar to be installed, every day I have to cancel it. My reason being my bank is slow to catch up on the newest browsers.

Darlene, why would you need your bank for IE8? it is not going to cost you anything, but maybe a headache or two... I put a block on it, and I am not downloading it myself... Sure, banks are slow, but if you want IE8, just download it... If not, then I guess just don't... But, you don't need your bank to download that....:confused
