New Problem - Transfer clip via CD

I have new problem. I downloaded a YouTube version of Homer Simpson gets a gun (Cartridge Family). Anyway, I used RealPlayer to download since my YouTube downloader repeatedly throws up an error. Anyway, I get it to my computer no real prolem Then, I convert from FLV to MPEGII or MPEGI using AnyVideo Converter. Then I use VirtualDub to take out only the segment I need, the last 25 seconds. I then try and play on Media Player, GOM Player and Real Player. NO PROBLEMS!! Yay! So I think. I then try and use a CD burner, Sonic as well as CDBurnerXP. I take the CD and try it out. PROBLEMS!! It comes out in slow motion with cruddy sound Help! I need to get this done. Thanks.

 

So, you're playing the file on a different PC? It may be a codec issue; install one of the codec packs from the MutliMedia section here at MajorGeeks (KLite Mega Pack is good). Also try burning it at a low speed, like 8x or less. When I burn any video files (CD or DVD) I burn at 8x or slower (usually 4x) unless it's a DivX/XVid file, then I burn at 16x. Other than those things, I'm not sure what to tell you I hope this helps.

Okay. I have tried to burn at all the speeds available (1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 20x and 24x) to no avail!!! Help!! I used teh CDs in several computers thinking it was just the one with the skipping, slow-mo crud. No good. When I watch the video clip on the original computer, it works fine. When I slide in the CD, it comes out like crud.

 

Okay Now, I just emailed myself (through Lycos.mail) the video clip and it worked perfectly from there and on my desktop!! YAY!! But still did not solve problem as to why CD came out so cruddy. Ah, that's for another day.
