**New** problem with drivers.. No audio

Anybody know which driver i need, its been days and i still can not get this working, any help would be awesome! thanks so much

Audio Driver, no audio any ideas?

Anybody know which driver i need, its been days and i still can not get this working, any help would be awesome! thanks so much!!

** I DOWNLOADED** this http://members.driverguide.com/drive...iverid=1211558 but i believe this is the wrong driver, or i'm missing something.. i still have the little yellow Flag in device manager that says Multimedia audio Controller.

another note..i think these drivers are for HP only, the PC i'm trying to get this working on is a Gateway E series, don't know if that helps?

This link is for your audio driver. The two links posted above don't work, but judging from what I see in the URL, those links are for the wrong driver.

Hey again, when i try to install the driver ( http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...ional&lang=eng ) it says Driver not found! Reboot your system, and run this setup again, and when i reboot and try again it just says the same thing.. any ideas?

Strange :confused At this point, you should probably upload an Everest hardware report as an attachment so we can see what's really going on. Also, it would be helpful if you could tell us what is shown in the Device Manager under 'Sound, Video, and Game Controllers' and if any exclamation points ! or question marks ? or red X's are showing anywhere in the Device Manager, please tell us where....

Sorry it took so long to get back to you, hope this information helps, its an Everest report and also a Screenshot of the Yellow Flag error in my Device manger "Multimedia Audio Controller"

I found this driver at the Gateway site (you do have a Gateway PC, right?) and you should install your chipset drivers from this link before installing the sound driver.

And this link is to yet another sound driver at Gateway for the same motherboard, but a slightly different release. Try this one if the other one doesn't work.

Hey thanks!! the one place i didn't look lol... anyways everything is up and running smoothly now, the error in device manager is now gone and sound seems to be working perfect. Love this Site
