I've got the H50 from approx 18 months ago.
Easy install. Only problem was identifying the correct screws for the backplate.
Running an i7 950 at 3.6 Ghz with temps 36 - 41 C at idle across the 4 cores per RealTemp GT. 100% pushed the temps to high 60s - low 70s depending on ambient.
Am running a push-pull stock Antec fan arrangement exhausting rather than inletting.
Everything I've read puts my unit equivalent to a mid-range to low end high-range air cooling set up. I don't know what the actual difference is in this new unit and mine, I'll have to check the specs.

Man, you guys are actually human over here... god goto Overclock.net and everything is Sandybridge this and Sandybridge that lol.

Coleman I say that is a pretty good processor you chose , I believe that would work in my older system. AMD is so Versicle :)

Tough to find proper reviews on this one but with 1200 reviews coming in that positive, it's tough to argue against. I wonder what the change was, a new faster pump, more efficient impeller? I have no idea as the rest looks the same. My 930 has a H50 and it's @ 70C @ full load. Where does Corsair get the 56C number, that's just insane but perhaps their machine was not OC'd. I'll try a little experiment, BRB.

Well, stock temps were about 41 at no load and at %100 load were about 65C. Damn man, I want to know if they really pushed it with Prime 95/folding running on all 8 cores or was this some gaming average?:confused

I'm going back to my previously scheduled OC.;)

That's the one I had that failed without notice and melted my CPU. It made me sad. :(

I'm thinking I had a lemon though, Corsair isn't exactly known for shipping low quality product.
