I installed the 512 mb RAM module I posted about yesterday, leaving the two 128s in slots 1 and 2. During boot up I get a message that the configuration was non optimal and that the large module should be in slot 1 or 2. But the system runs fine. I plan to leave it as it is. Any comments?

Personally, I would install the 512 in slot 1, closest to the processor. If performance is good, and the ram shows up in your under control panel>system, and the error message doesn't bother you, don't fix what isn't broken. Otherwise, just switch them around.

I put the 512 in slot 1, and the 128s in 2 and 3. The error message stopped.
