    Hello all,
I just bought a new lil acer e3-111-p60s
it has 4g of ram and I wanna replace that module with an 8g card.

    Here's the problem,
Crucial website ram finder says I can use this:
    http://www.crucial.com/usa/en/aspire-e3-111-p60s/CT6244153

    but not the ballistix:

Their site says it can't be used on my pc but I was wondering if this is true.

What's the limiting factor? Is it the Cas latency speeds?
Can someone who knows the ins and outs give me better guidance on this info? I'm trying to geek but I'm just being meek.

    Thanks y'all!

    DD

Well, I'd say that you can buy the more expensive one, and if it doesn't work, send it back for a refund. Either way, having higher end ram for a laptop won't really help for gaming. It is mostly a marketing scheme. IMHO.

Or, Crucial has yet to fully test the ballistix with your laptop model.
