hi I v just changed my isp from bt to dsl, cause of this I had to buy a new router (linksys wrt54gs). I I connected my main pc via cable run the cd and found no probs connecting to the net. After a few weeks i blew the dust of my laptop and tried to connect to my new shinny router . I set up security and a key using wpa just like id done before when i had a bt broadband connection (UK). My laptop found my router I entered the key then my laptop said it was aquiring a network connection. BUT the problem is it never does.

Please any help would be great.

    cheers.

If your router allows you to set things to this/that, set it to this. i.e. WEP/WPA to only WPA. Or doesn't work with different makes of hardward. If they're all linksys, they will probably work with or. Also, check the connection type. Make sure it's not B/G. Only 802.1B, G or N if your laptop supports it.

What os is running on the laptop?
