New status popup

    This has very recently started popping up on my Win 7 x64. I don't mind it but am wondering what has caused it. I have been updating many drivers over the last ten days so it might be one of those I guess.

    Wow weird and not a normal driver of Windows app, from my personal observations, so I would look at Safe mode boot and does it pop up, and if not then look at your startups for a causing application. Random guess is a temp or CPU/System monitoring app,

    Thanks David. Think I've found it - didn't use this Win 7 system for quite a while as I had put Win 8 on too and have been using that. When I came back to 7 it was seriously out of date and taking forever to boot, and while investigating that I installed System Explorer and that's what is causing it. As I've fixed the boot problem I can now stop it from autostarting. Quite a useful aid though for a quick view of what's going on when problem solving.
