New System

Hey ppls,

Whats up! hope everybody is all rite. Now i am buliding a personal system for myself, I would like to get some advice, feedback anything that can help me on what parts that i am buying. I want to be able to play games on high settings eg. half life 2 doom 3 etc. My pervious system suckk really bad. These are the specs that i am lookin at for the new system:

Motherboard: MSI P4-775 PT890 NEO-F D2/S/L
Processor: INTEL CORE 2 DUO 4300 1.8GHZ
Ram: ALIEN DDR2 533 1GB x2 (2 STICKS)
Vidoe: EVGA 7600GS PCI-E 512MB DDR2
Case: SHINOBI ATX CASE 480WATTS
Harddrive: SEAGATE 250 GB SATA 7200RPM

Are you going to be running Microsoft Windows XP or Windows Vista? If Vista, you're gonna need 2GB of memory instead of just 1GB. If XP, 1GB is fine.

Also, you'll need a better video card if you really want to run the games at max visual settings. That card will play any game out there-- but not at highest settings.

And finally, it helps to know what kind of budget you are on. Depending on how much money you want to spend, someone can make some suggestions as to what hardware you should buy.

 

well would these games work on vista, alot of ppls told me that some these games will not work is that ture?

i will be using 2gb of memory

which is the better operating system vista or xp?

you see i am from Trinidad so the exchange rate is diffrenet

1.00 tt is 6.33 us

so i am lookin to spend bout 10 000 tt which is about 1 600 us
but besides that what video card do you recommend me buying? i dont want to buy a video card and eventually in a year or so i will have to change it.
