Hey, I have just started to learn some C++ and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what would be the best thing(s) to learn first? And I was wondering a few things....

    1) How do I export my project to an .exe file so I can test it and stuff?
    2) How do you type some static text to display, say, it a form box that I have?

Basic displaying and variable manipulation are probably good to start with. You could try http://www.cplusplus.com which has a tutorial from the most basic things into some of the more advanced aspects of C++.

    1. When you compile your project, an .exe is created. Usually the compiler (the program you use to make programs) has an execute or "Start Debugging" option (the latter of which is Visual Studio) that'll run the exe instead of you having to go find and run it yourself.

Your post doesn't mention the use of a compiler... are you familiar with the process that takes C++ source code and generates an .exe?
The in's and out's of how to make an .exe are environment specific but usually reasonably intuitive.

This is my first time ever touching a C programming program. I am interested in being able to code games and maybe some programs like a media player and maybe a web browser down the line, and would like to know the best place to start to learn the language as I am BRAND NEW in the world of programming in C.
