New to forum, need help plz.

I have a desktop I just purchased and am going to upgrade the RAM. Its at 512 ddr. Its a Compaq Presario SR1920NX. I was wondering if I purchased http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2206874&Sku=C13-2022
if it was going to even work with the system? I know if I search direct for the computer upgrades to a 2 GB its almost 100 $! If you guys can tell me if I switch the RAM to this one if it will work or give me a site that has a better priced RAM upgrade for that type of computer for under 100$ Id really appreciate it! Im looking to buy upgrade to make my PRO TOOLS LE & HD run smoothly.

I really need feedback because I plan on a purchase soon! Ive always come to this site for information and you guys have never let me down! Thanks for your help in advance?

 

I'm sorry to say that this RAM is a DDR2 module which has 240 pins.
You Motherboard takes DDR modules with 184 pins.

Bottom line is these won't fit.

I did a quick search and the lowest price I have found thus far is $45 each, I'll keep looking for you.

You might get a better buy on eBay, but Tiger Direct is selling the right modules for $50 each.

I really appreciate your help. My friend told me NewEgg.com to check those guys out so thats what im doing. I couldnt find one for 45$ though that sounds like a good deal. If you can send me link plz?
