New used laptop problems

i just bopught a dell inspiron 1000 laptopn the other day and i was trying to access the internet through comcast. while installing the comcast internet stuff it stopped and said there was an error with a wireless lan card. so i went into device manageer to try and find the problem only it did not say that it was there. i usd aida32 to scan on my computer and the wireless card in question comes up. i am not connecting to the internet through the wireless card. i am connecting through regular DSL. the computer has no spyware on it and has only been used for about 3 hours total. i believe the claptop came with a wireless card and it does not have one with it now. is there a way i can find these drivers for the card and remove them so i can get online?

Go into you network connections, and see if your able to disable the wireless network connection there. And enable your local area connection.

 

Log to the device manager and disable the Wireless card.

Once it is disable check your network settings.

In General, you can debug the Network Settings of a computer by following these steps.

Step One. Check the Network parameters in the Computer's Device Manager. Make sure that the Network Card drivers are installed correctly; i.e. there is No IRQ conflict, and No Ghost installation. http://www.ezlan.net/faq#ghost
