New video card? Or new system?

Right now I have an ATi X800XL, which I am fine with. However, it says that it is not compatible with RB6: Vegas.

I have only 8x AGP on my MB and really don't want to upgrade my computer at this time.

HIS makes an X1600PRO 512mb in AGP. Would this be much better than my X800XL? On Pricewatch it's listed at $140.

My other option is to buy an AMD dual core Athlon X64 X2 5600 and motherboard ($273) and the PCIE X1600 ($112). But then DDR2 motherboard won't support PC3200 RAM, right? So I end up having to get 2GB of RAM for about $125 (Kingston brand).

Obviously option 2 is more expensive, but is it more worth it?

    Right now I have a P4 Prescott 3.0gHz, 2GB PC3200 RAM, and the X800XL 256MB card.
