I have 1 GB DDR400 RAM, Athlon 3200+ 2Ghz, and I want to get a new video card for Doom3, FEAR, Half Life 2, and what's coming next. I was thinking about Nvidia 7600GS (I have the PCI-e slots in my motherboard). What do you think? Would you suggest something else? Keep in mind that I'm only interested in games, so improvements in TV connections and such are of no interest to me.

The 7800 range is nice, so you're looking in a good area.

Firstly, tell us how much you want to spend?

The price of the 7600GS is pretty optimal for me. I don't mind spending some 50-100$ more though if it'll be really worth it and won't cause a bottle neck.
Same goes for a lower model.

Watch out for the 7600gt, alot of reviews are calling it very unstable. Im starting to believe it finally, just returned mine to Newegg:rolleyes:
