new virus?

i typically get a handful of emails diverted to my 'bulk folder' that carry a 24k attachment. they are labeled things like re: your letter/photos/music. this morning i got a different one. as this one says its a notice about undelivered mail and gives my email address i thought I'd post it so that none of you are tempted to open it. aloha

Unless you have a real REASON to suspect that an e-mail message you've sent couldn't be delivered, there's always good reason for deleting UN-opened any e-mail message that arrives in your Inbox that says it's from Mailer-Daemon @YourISP.xxx, and any message that has a subject line about undeliverable mail.

It's so EASY to check on any outgoing e-mail message, to see whether one of them has bounced: click your Re-send control, then when the message pops up on your outgoing mail already addressed and with the previous message filled in, add a line that say "Hope this isn't an annoyance. I've received (probably bogus) notification that some message I've sent was undeliverable. Please confirm that you have received my message to you. Thanks."

 

i didn't send any emails to that address, so it was even easier! i don't even know anyone with that address!

 

All the better. Just DELETE, unopened , any "Returned Mail" message you get. Don't worry about it.

I have seen a dramatic increase in the I-worm/netsky.Q variant over the last couple days. I have been getting about 5-10 emails each day with virii attached. It's getting to be quite annoying.

 

i got these to today. any ideas on what they are?

 

The second one is most likely i-worm/netsky.Q

The first could be the same, either way delete both.
