new xp install but ! in device manager


i have a ! in device manager beside viedo controller vga compatible


im not sure which driver im missing i ran driver genious but did not help...

The following are from MSI: VGA ( http://www.msi.com/service/download/driver-6425.html ) and Chipset ( http://www.msi.com/service/download/driver-2446.html ).

Try the video first (make sure you reboot after installing). If you've still got a flag, then try the chipset and then the VGA.

 

this is a vista driver?i have xp pro.

 

ok i no longer have a ! in device manager but everytime i restart the com the new hardware wizard pops up saying plug and play hardware...then i click this time only and it serches forever but finds nothing?

 

Drivers are usually backwards compatible - the 'Vista' should mean that Vista is the latest OS supported.

Did you install both drivers, or just the VGA?
