Newbie for some help w/ net, bluetooth and DHCP connection

K, let me start off by saying I'm a computer dummy in this case. I know nothing of Bluetooth or anything of the sort.

My hubby went off to Iraq and all the sudden his computer stopped working. (We set them up next to each other so I can duo box a game.) Mine works absolutely fine.

I can do basics myself but it seems Bluetooth and/or DHCP is having the problem. He currently has a Bluetooth keyboard. The system has no problems recognizing the keyboard and I can type just fine with it.

System specs:
Windows XP SP2
Netgear router
Bluetooth keyboard

When I do cmd, I'm having 0's and no info. When I /renew, I get:

An error occurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out.
No operation can be performed on Bluetooth Network Connection while it has its media disconnected.

When I manually enter in the IP info, I get sent packets of 1-3 per second, nothing received.

Under Network Connections, our 1394 Net Adapter seems (see below), LAC is Intel PRO/1000 CT and is limited or no, and under PAN, Bluetooth has the keyboard inside as working, but it's showing Disconnected as well.

If there's any other info you need, just ask.

I'm at a loss on what to do from here, cause as I said, I did all the basics but got me nowhere. Please go easy on me and use newb dumbed down terms!

ETA: I thought our 1394 was fine, shows fine but isn't sending any packets and I can't get on the network between the comps either. I guess basically, the computer won't connect to anything outside of itself at all.

 

Got it, D/C'ed the wireless for the Wii altogether, and took out the switch in the equation, changed the cord and static IPed.
