Newbie Htaccess Required

Afternoon,
Ive just changed my site to HTTPS from HTTP
I need to have some code i believe called redirect ?
So when a customer goes to the HTTP old site it will then send them to the new HTTPS site.

Please could you advise what i need to do thanks very much.

I have learning difficulties & just need some guidance if i could kindly ask

This was the index page url http://www.theremotedoctor.co.uk/index.html

This is the new index page url https://www.theremotedoctor.co.uk/index.html

I have noticed that if on the HTTP page and you click on a drop down etc or anything you are then taken to the HTTPS version of it fine.
Clicking on links or images on the HTTPS site is also fine.

Currently i have not told my existing host company i have gone with another host,so when i do then i think there will be an issue.
So i need to get this htaccess code set up first.
