newbie w/a problemo 9 (what's new?

Hi, glad you are here. Please bear with me, I'm still in the stone age but I am trying to go at this. Here is the sitch. I've got start up problems that i think are affecting my confuser. i get two error windows after my desktop shows up. One reads "required.DLL file EZTEXT.DLL not found" and a nother one that reads " C:\windows\Temp\SE.DLL not found" . Finally, I get a blue screen that reads " Fatal exception 06 @ 0000.00000017 current application will be terminated" I hit the space bar and it returns to desktop and I can use firefox normally. I can't however get My Computer to work. Shheeeez. What Ca I do?
Oh, I should add I'm running (tryin to ) 98

 

Hmmm, I know that SE.dll is malware related, have you ran any anti-spyware checks on this machine? What about antivirus software?

Then, I'd also run ccleaner:

I'm only suggesting posting this information within the spyware forum, due to that SE.DLL file.

Now, you can try running ccleaner and seeing if that helps (making sure you run the registry scanner).

 

Thank you. I found Grisoft AVG on this web site and ran it. Jeez, my jaw dropped after i saw how many infections i had. i also have ad aware. I try what you suggest.
