I have followed all instructions as listed in the "do not post until.." post, but am still experiencing a TON of annoying pop-ups.
With the steps listed in the "how to:" I was able to remove a regkeys and regvalues ( blazefind, bargainbuddy, bookedspace, topmoxie, tvmedia, winad, coolweb, scbar, favoriteman) along with a few VX2 processes and files

I am frustrated beyond belief and would appreciate it if anyone could help me out in deciphering my HiJackThis Log, so that I can go on with my life!!

-I'm not supposed to attach the log unless asked...right?

    Hi Southerngrl,

Many of the items you listed can be Uninstalled via Add or Remove Programs. You should look there as well as in yor Program Files for unwanted crap.

Then, take a run through the Cleanup Tutorial HERE:
READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan and Virus Removal

Please note the steps that you are able to complete and the ones that give you problems. Note that you need to be in Safe Mode with System Restore OFF (if you have it - you didn't give OS) and have the Viewing of Hidden Files ENABLED as per the instructions in the link. Make sure to do the Online Scans.

Post back and let us know how you fared. Please send us a HijackThis Log with your post. Make sure to follow the instructions below CAREFULLY.

Note that your HijackThis should be up-to-date (v1.98.2) and MUST be extracted to its own safe folder - C:\Program Files\HijackThis

If you need a Fresh Download of HJT, get it HERE: HijackThis 1.98.2

Also note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

Please save your HJT Log as a .txt file and attach it via the "Manage Attachments" tool in the Additional Options section when you post.

I'm tied up at the moment, but someone will take a look.

    Best luck :)
    PP

GEEZ! I didn't realize, until just now, how scrambled my thoughts were when I typed my original post. (how embarrasing)

I failed to state that I had already uninstalled all of the "unwanted crap" and that I had already read the Cleanup Tutorial.

I ran all of the appropriate scans in Safe Mode after I had enabled viewing on all hidden files, i did the online scans. What I failed to do was read the actual HiJack Tutorial...no wonder I couldn't figure out what in the H#$@ was going on.

Now all is good, no further help is necessary! The instructions and downloads proved to be most helpfull! I also appreciate the quick response to the post I made in haste.

    Thanks so much!!
