    Hi.

My first custom built PC from scratch and I have run into a problem with the RAM.

I have a Gigabyte P35 DQ6 MOBO with an Intel Core 2 Duo 68500. I have placed inside 2 Gigs of RAM. That's 2x1 Gig of DDR2 Corsair (Dominator) PC2 8500C5. (1066MHz). When I go into the BIOS and go into "PC Health" to check temperature etc, I noticed this in the list....DDR18V FAIL. Am I right in thinking that my Memory is not being recognised? Is it something to do with the voltage?

In the BIOS on my Gigabyte P35 DQ6 MOBO, I have something called....MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T). If I select that, I get a box called....DDR overvoltage control. At the moment, it says, "Normal". Should I be doing a change here or something?

Thanks in advance for any help and advice on this.

you probably need to up the voltage going into the ram to 2.0 or 2.1 for them to work near their full capacity.

    Thanks for your reply.

I should of mentioned that I haven't installed the operating system yet. I just switched it on to check that everything is connected like fans, PSU etc. Then I had a look round in the BIOS and this is where I noticed the DDR18V Fail.

Here are two pics taken with my camera showing what I see. Also, when I bring up the "System Information" in the BIOS, it shows 2 gigs of RAM so why this other thing of DDR18V fail? Can I carry on and install Windows despite this DDR18V Fail.
