Newer acer seems dead

I have a Acer Aspire M1100-AM1100 desktop computer. When u turn it on the cpu fan comes on the dvd drive light flashes a few times you can hear the hard drive for a few seconds but the screen says no imput and stays blank . I have pulled the cmos batt. out and let sit over night and keep turnin it off and on it will once in maybe 50 times boot and run 30 seconds to 30 min then shut down again . It has 1 gig memory 250 gig hard drive amd 4200+
processor and is running vista home prem. If anbody could help that would be great and thanks

It sounds like your power supply is marginal; sometimes there is enough power to supply video but a lot of times there is not.

Have you connected the monitor to another computer to be sure it works? If it does, I'd probably get a new power supply and see if that will let your computer boot up everytime and run for more than 30 minutes before shutting off.

Also, when you open the case to check the specs on your current power supply, it would not hurt to clean out the inside of the computer and remove and then re-insert your video card, if you have one. (Be sure you ground yourself before working inside the computer because you don't want any static electricity to fry any working components inside your computer).

Thanks for the advice. Sorry should have said it has on board video , I have also tried putin a video card in . And I only one power supply extra but it does not have the same conectors the one in the computer has a large plug and a 4 wire little plug my other supply only has the large plug I will look for another one and let u know
