Newest Version of Firefox VS Printer?

You guys have always helped me so I am counting on you. Everytime F/F upgrades into a newer version its a TRAINWRECK! Normally the side effects are small and just annoying, but this time its bad.
I guess it upgraded into the newest version on Wenesday and now none of 3 printers will print. All I get is blank pages. I already did the "config" in the location bar, and reset the printers like another forum told me to do....but that did not help. The ONLY way I am able to print, is to change browsers and use IE. I run an ebay business, so I need to print shipping labels.....all my printers worked fine BEFORE the upgrade(I have figured out how to TURN OFF the automatic upgrade feature) and last night I freaked, because I could not get anything but blank pages.....I finally tried IE....and my printers worked fine with that browser. Any ideas? would really appreciate it!confused:confused

 

I know this is not helpful, but if IE works then why not use it?

@ DomLuc: Do you have any firefox addons installed?

 

I didn't realize there was a way to TURN OFF the automatic downloads until yesterday.....& the Mozilla forum is the one who told me to do the config & reset in safe mode...and of course it doesn't work. This version of F/F is horrible, there are so many kinks with this version. I guess I'll just have to use IE to print.

 

I don't have any exthensions or themes.

 

Because it is a pain in the ^&%$ to have to switch everytime I want to print to IE. I just want my F/F to work like it did BEFORE the upgrade...and yes I did try a system restore.....to get it back to earlier this week.....and when I did that Firefox wouldn't even open, at all. I finally got frustrated and had to reverse the restore. I had no idea this would be so hard to correct.:cry

@buffee: Does FF print when you are in FF safe mode?

 

click here: about:config
Click OK or whatever for the warning, then at the top of the page in the box that says filter, type in print. (no period). then take a screenshot and post it.

 

I am not sure how to take a screen shot??? never done it before.

 

all I have if the windows XP firewall that came with the computer---as far as firewalls are concerned.
