Newly installed hardisk not found

    I bought a new hardisk for my computer, installed it and .....problems.
    I can't see my hardisk in my computer.
    bios recognizes the hardisk.
    windows recognizes the hardisk as well in device manager when I check it says the device is working correctly but I still can not see it.

    I have P4 3.0ghz so my motherboard can support serial ATA hardisk, infact mt first one is a serial ATA.
    This new one is IDE. Could that be the problem?

    It needs to be partitioned and formatted. See this step by step article on how to do it.
