NForce4 Networking Controller issues

    Hello everyone.

I'm having major, inconsistent, and ongoing problems, which I believe are all interconnected. Among a few of my symptoms:

-Sometimes IM clients like pidgin will log me out and refuse to let me login for the rest of the session
-Large files downloaded in the normal manner (ie, not torrents) are very frequently corrupted and incomplete. I did once manage to get proof of this because of the game Octodad, which is offered both as a normal and torrent download. The normal version once downloaded said complete but would not work and gave an NSIS error. When I tried to torrent it, it read that file and started off at 98.5% complete, and just finished off. Thusly the download was 1.5% incomplete. This issue rarely happens with files below 100 MB in size.
-Minecraft survival multiplayer mode causes regular bluescreen crashes. One example error was BAD_POOL_HEADER. This is regardless of who's hosting, just running around playing the game not doing any specific activity. It crashes after 10 minutes of play at most.
-When I host a minecraft survivial multiplayer server, my computer instantly BSODs when anyone joins.

I believe this is a problem with my computer's network controller. I don't have a seperate network card, there's an ethernet port built into the motherboard. Under device manager > Network adapters, I have:

1394 Net Adapter (no idea what this is)
    NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller

Seperately, in a category of it's own, I also have

    NVIDIA Network Bus Enumerator

My PC is a dual boot system with windows and linux, but the problems mostly relate to windows. When I ran under linux, everything "just works". I plug in my router, and I have an internet connection. Under windows this did not function. The only way I could get it to work was to install drivers for the Nforce4 Chipset.

These drivers came on a CD with my computer. Try as I might, I can't seem to find them on the internet. I believe Nvidia's site only had other incompatible versions which did not give internet access.

I think there's something wrong with the drivers though, hence the above list of symptoms. The reason that I think it's the drivers, and not a hardware issue, is that I've been through four different copies of the same motherboard in this computer's lifetime, and always had this issue when running a windows install.

My Motherboard is the a8n-SLi SE, and it has the NForce4 Chipset in it which seems to control all network related functions. My router is a TP-Link W8901G router, which is a recent addition. I used to have a Sagem modem that had the same issues, which I would say eliminates the router/modem as the cause.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here, and what i should do? Are there any more recent drivers for this chipset on the internet? Should I buy a new network card and plug my modem into it instead of the builtin port?

Still seeking advice if anyone can help

This is what I'll do if there's no other solution, but I'm hoping there's other options first.
