nhl 2004 error problems

Hi there . I am having a couple problems with nhl2004.
1st: when I try to create a player I get (nhl2003 DEVCAPS graphics hardware initialization problem) if I try to close this error message and keep going I get (nhl2004 exe problem) when I close this box the entire game closes down.
2nd: after an entire season on dynasty mode when I try to play a playoff game I get the (nhl2004 exe. prblem error ) then the game closes down.

I have looked through the ea sports sight but cannot find any answers. Could some one please help or let me know if they are having the same problem. I am running with an 850mhz celeron prossesor and 256ram 20gig hard drive. I can run with great speed and graphics when I have only essential programs running,

 

see if there's an update for NHL2k4, update your videocard drivers, chipset drivers and if that doesn't work, try reinstalling the game.

 

didnt work. I tried reinstalling it about 4 times and the only patches I could find were on the EA SPORTS sight and a current roster patch that didnt work either. Thanks for the suggestion anyways. I will keep looking for an answer.

 

my brother had the same problem,no fix possible as far as i can tell.so he went back to nhl2002.

 

Hi, I have a exactly the same problem. I cannot simulate the game nor play the game. It really sucks. I played every single game in dynasty mode.
Can anybody help ?
