NHL 2004 problem

    Hey my friend from a online hockey league said hes having problems. This is what he said he was having a problem with...

    "hangs up for about a second every 3 seconds.....the game jumps and the sound jumps...you hear the "brrrzzzz" from time to time when it hangs up...does it all game long and even when i play the pc"

    His system requirement is....
    p4 1.3 Ghz - 500+ mb ram, win xp, geforce 2
