NHL 2004 Problem

i have nhl 2004 and have for a while, i used to play it almost every day. now after i install it it does not work. it installs good then when i go to open it the nhl 2004 screen comes up, then it goes black like its getting ready to load the opening video then it closes to my desktop. the cd is like new there is not one scratch on it(im being serious). but after it closes i go to ctrl-alt-delet and it says that i have nhl 2004 running. its making me angry because even though i can play nhl 2005 i dont want to because its not as good by far. any of you know what is wrong?

You better make sure your cd driver isn't malfunctioning, If it is it's time to get a new one.

 

it isnt because i can install it and i can play bf2 and bf1942 an all my otehr games, and nhl 2005 it just 2004 that has the problem, and it works fine on my bros computer

 

Was there anything you installed before this problem started?
If so uninstall it and try nhl 2004 and see if it works then.

 

i cantr remember that far back, i bought it the day it came out in canada played it for a month or 2 then stopped and uninstalled it, and as of about 2 weeks ago i tryed to install it again and now it doesnt work, so i cant remember what i have installed

 

Get NHL 06, its way better then 2004 and 2005.

 

I've heard NHL 06 is good, but I've still never found an NHL game I like better than NHL 96 for Sega Genesis. I mean, you can't do as much, but it's so fun.
