nic for old p-133?

    Anyone know if a nic card for dsl will work in an old packard bell pentium 133 with windows 98 se. Thanks

    Yup, just plug it into the PCI or ISA slot, install the drivers, and away you go :)
    Your computer will be slower then the internet connection, though :S But still work :)

    Thanks for the reply ChrisC. I tried but it wouldn't work. Then I checked and it has win 98 and not 98se so I guess it will not work on just 98. I will have to install se then try again. Sorry about the delay in responding but my 9800 pro just died and I just have a cobbled up mess to work with for now.

    You might just need the appropriate driver? Try the manufacturers website to see if there is a Win98 driver, mite work

    The driver is most likely the same for both 98 and 98se, so it might not be a driver issue.

    Tried again today and it is a driver issue. Even with the nic card driver disk it still tells me to insert my win 98 disk for additional drivers. It can't seem to find the right driver on my disk so I will try another disk before searching for it. My disks are a little scratched. Thanks
