:confused Hi Guys Need some advice ,plus may I wish you all a Happy new year....
OK!..I have been given an nintendo ds lite for chrimbo and luv it...but would appreciate some advice as to how to acquire a 1 or 2gb memory card to fit slot 1.....there is a lot of info out there relating to DS slot-1 flash cards ,Rd4 etc,but there appears to be no definitive site where a memory card that can be obtained for a ds lite slot 1 is indicated.
My daughter has the ability to downland over 50 games for me if I can discover the correct card to purchase which she can then download onto and which in turn will fit slot 1 of my nintendo ds lite....so any advice once again would be greatly appreciated for the uninitiated...ie ME!!!

what you need is an SD or Micro SD card and also if you want to upload the games, music, pictures or whatever into the DS you will need a card reader

    hope that helps :)

Thanks to hentajus for the reply.....but being totally at odds with this system...what make/type of card is it that I need ?
is it the R4 plus flash card?
Do I require a card reader if my daughter has the discs and down loader?
If I purchase an R4 plus flash will that be sufficient?
As I have said the problem is not with you guys but with me, as my knowledge of this type of update is lamentable!!

r4ds uses microsd. any microsd is applicable but a kingston japan microsd is much preferred. the kingston microsd comes with a usb device that would let you transfer music, r4ds patch, etc. into your microsd.

this is how it works. you insert microsd into r4ds. then r4ds is inserted into slot 1 of ds lite just like any ordinary slot 1 device.

hope this helps. nintendo ds rocks!!!

Thanks to you guys I have now managed to unravel my requirement's .
The R4ds card is virtually unattainable(most are out of stock or on back order), but I have managed to locate an M3 plus mini 2gb flash card which I am assured are all made by the same company???It comes I am told with a card reader?and a URL to download files???
This next request may now begin to show the extent of my lack of knowledge in this area and my requirement for assistance from this sites experts...

Why do I need the card reader ?????

What files do I require and how do I go about loading them onto such a small card?????

The initial point of this exercise is that my daughter has discs with games loaded and the bits and pieces to transfer them to a ds lite slot 1 card,so what do need to supply to enable the transfer to take place???

    Thanks again guys/gals :wave

you need the card reader for you pc to be able to accss your microSD, that is if you don't have a microSD reader included in your hardware.

    the files are called roms.

does m3 have its own website. you may go visit their website and see if you need to install something in your microSD. if there are no other instructions just format your microSD. then just copy and paste the files into your microSD.
