    Hi,

nirsoft chromecookiesviewer is being flagged by MS security essentials as win32/malgent, I've checked MS site, and cookies viewer is described that an unauthorised login could export chrome cookies - which presumably is what it's supposed to do. malgent is apparently a generic term used for "any non categorized malicious program"

can anyone confirm the cookies viewer program is safe other than that?

Just about any program that can be used for "evil" will get flagged. If you downloaded it and trust it, you make the exception in your AV to allow it to run. You downloaded it from a reputable source?
It is a "risk" that you have to take, no one else. I use plenty of Nirsoft's tools.

if anyone wonders I installed chrome cookies viewer and all appears to be ok

MS obviously detects the programs intended operation as suspicious
